Operational activity

As at 29 January 2025, the National Anti-Corruption Commission (the Commission):

  • is conducting 33 preliminary investigations 
  • is conducting 31 corruption investigations, including 9 joint investigations
  • is overseeing or monitoring 15 investigations by other agencies 
  • has 5 matters before the court
  • has 544 referrals pending assessment.

Since the last update (on 18 December 2024) the Commission has:

  • concluded 8 preliminary investigations and initiated 3 new preliminary investigations. Of the 8 concluded:
    • no corruption issue was found to arise in 7, and
    • one will proceed to full investigation. 
  • commenced 3 new corruption investigations, including 2 joint investigations.

Over the period from 1 July 2024 to midnight Sunday 26 January 2025, the Commission:

  • received 1,366 referrals
  • excluded 1,055 referrals at the triage stage.
